In order to build a learning Youth League organization and improve the cultivation of student cadres, school of public administration held the series event of “New Management” which included reading party, management salon and other interesting events. It showed the feature of management and the connection of different classes. October 23rd, school of public administration held the reading party at the Ning Yuan building. Lin Xiaojie, a teacher from the school and Wang Yiran, the secretary of the Youth League Committee joined the party.
The theme of the party was to read “Drucker Sayings On Society” written by Peter F.Drucker. The party can be divided into two parts. For the first part, Zhang Yangbo shared his understandings with participants. He mentioned the experience of the writer and the book review from “Harvard Business Review” which showed the academic value of the book. After that, he interpreted some chapters of the book. The writer thought that knowledge should be combined with practice so that to improve productivity. Also, individual person and organization should adapt to each other, only in this way can the management level coordinate the organization and maximize the efficiency of organizations. Finally, he talked about his experience of student management, he thought that student cadres should take the responsibility of serving, supervising, coordinating and connecting.
In the second part, the debate team from school of public administration debated intensely about human nature. Other students were also encouraged to share their opinions.
After the debate, Professor commented on the reading party. She told the students that management rose from daily life by several examples. She also recommended some classic books and journals. All the students took note of it.
Although the party comes to an end, its effect will last. The student union published related information on the Wechat platform for the students’ further discussion.
