April 20th,2014. Held by School of Public Administration,“New Administration” serial event: Forum of management of Student Union and Youth League Committee organization. It was also the first event of “New Administration”. During the conference, ministers and chairs from all student unions had a heated discussion about two topics: how to standardize regulation and how to manage team members based on different roles.
Firstly, everyone talked about their own opinions about how to standardize daily management in student unions and Youth League Committee organizations. Some people mentioned regular assess should be improved, which would be able to supervise working process of daily work. As for the topic of how to encourage different team members to bring out the most of their ability based on their characteristics, everyone gave their standpoints. Someone said efficient communication can benefits understanding of their personalities and characteristics, while someone thought assigning work according to their characteristics can fully arouse the enthusiasm of working. In the end, the chair concluded all the key points mentioned during the forum, and affirmed all the standpoints about improving assess system, paying more attention on full-scale development of team members. The advice about starting online sharing material platform was taken as well.
Sofar, everyone had a deeper understanding for students’ organization management, having learned more management skills and methods.
