To combine Socialist Core Values and college students’ professional level, also to foster more talents, Youth League Committee of School of Public Administration build a new professional talent fostering system:”New Administration”. Affiliated to Second & Third Class Platform, this system combined subjects’ features of public administration and after-school talent fostering model, in which creation, interaction were deeply embedded. It will make a big difference in cultivating more talents for student’s organizations.

1. What is “New Administration”

“New Administration” is an innovative talent fostering program for cultivating more professional talents in management field. To promote the understanding of ideology and morality, improve professional skills and ability to combine theory and practice of our students, this program has adopted relevant knowledge into diverse forms of events. It will help students have a better understanding of their majors and importance of practice, and cultivate high-quality talents who can always root theory into practice.

“The New Administration” has two theses: Professional Administrative Knowledge and Practical Administrative Work. The Professional Administrative Knowledge themed events are mainly aimed at student union led by the Youth League of our school and Youth League Branches. Held once a month, Branches’ events follow the trend of social hot spots, showing students the necessary ethical qualities and management knowledge in forms of video sharing or simulation. With a combination of the requirements from program scheme and administrative knowledge and skills, it provides students the platform to communicate and do research with their peers. Events organized by student union will lead students get out of their dorm and get into the authentic campus life. Holding the idea of “Small but Smart”, the events have brought the student leadership into regular education, spread administrative knowledge and skills to every-grade students. By organizing speeches given by industry leader and tours of famous corporations, Practical Administrative Work themed events have enlarged students’ study platform and have given them the opportunities to apply professional knowledge to practical administration.

2.Creation parts in “New Administration”

1）Combination of ideology and politics education and professional education.

“New Administration” set “Morality education” as the essence of all events. Led by ideology and politics education, we mix professional education with morality education, to assure students have basic ideological qualification as management talents.

2）Combination of professional subjects and extracurricular

“New Administration” aims to link professional subjects and extracurricular and build a platform of professional study and practice. It encourages students to learn knowledge in class and digest, transfer and adopt outside of the class.

3）Combination of professional knowledge study and practice

“New Administration” put theory into practice, supplying students the platform where students can transfer their current knowledge and learn how to use them. In the events, students can share their knowledge they learn from extracurricular and put them into practice. Accomplish the goal of “Know management, and do management”

4）Small-scale daily event- Get into students’dormitory and daily life.

The majority part of “New Administration” consist of small daily events. Location of our events also break the restrain of classroom, get into students’ dormitory. On one side, it brings in close interaction and share of knowledge, on the other hand, we can collect all kind of questions and confusion on professional subjects.

5）Set goal-oriented fostering model-combining fostering goals and students’needs.

“New Administration” combines professional fostering goals and plan, building different interactive formats of extracurricular. During our events, various study methods and studying goals make sure that it serves and benefits students.
