At 7:00 pm of 15th October “the timely rain” employment workshop of school of public administration launched a forum on employment preparation and skills enhancement in Room 631 of Ningyuan Building. The keynote speaker of this employment forum is GuXinyu, the tutor of UIBE. The graduates’ tutor---Tan Yu hosted this forum, and class 2016 undergraduates and postgraduates, and part of the class 2015 new postgraduates attended this forum.
Mr. Gu explained the different stages of job hunting chronologically, including online application, first interview, group interview, triple agreement signing, etc. Firstly, he came straight to the point and indicated the tips of online application, and listed many details that needed to be paid attention to during online application. He also gave a detailed introduction to the specific problems based on negative typical examples to inspire the students. Next, Mr. Gu gave instructions on dressing, interview preparation, self-introduction, live performances, etc. according to different interview stages, and mocked some excellent answers. Then, during the Q&A session, students actively asked many questions about written test and interview, and Mr. Gu answered the questions one by one, which won round applause from the students. Finally, Mr. Gu helped the students to modify their resume, affirmed the strengths, and initiated the relevant tips and notes in resume making based on the weaknesses of the resume, which brought students great benefits.
The wonderful forumgave students the feeling of wandering in real interviews, and helped them to win the essential skills of winning the future, making the graduates attending the forum believe that this forum gave them abundant effective information, and enhanced their confidence for the coming interviews.
