On May 25th, “China Social Public Security Forum (2013)” was held in Mingjing Building in Songjiang campus of East China University of Political Science and Law. Gao Xiaoping, executive vice president and secretary-general of Chinese Public Administration Society and Du Zhichun, secretary of the party committee of East China University of Political Science and Law attended the forum and addressed. More than seventy experts from universities and scientific research institutions participated. They were from Party School of the CPC Central Committee, Remin University of China, Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, University of International Business and Economics, University of Michigan, Waseda University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University, Peking University, East China University Of Science andTechnology, and Shanghai Municipal Party School. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Mingjun, dean of School of Politics and Public Administration. Professor Lou Chengwu, director of Public Administration Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, Professor Tong Xing of Nanjing University, Professor Chen Feng of Hong Kong Baptist University, Professor Peng Zongchao of Tsinghua University, Professor Sun Boying of Remin University of China, Professor Cai Yongshun of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Professor She Lian of National School of Administration and other experts and scholars delivered speeches.

Professor Song Yantao, dean of Public Administration Faculty of our school made a speech of “Comparative Study between China and the U.S. on expropriation institution of individual assets in emergency”under the topic of “emergency management and public security”.

In the end, Professor Zhang Mingjun presided over the closing ceremony, in which representatives in each group reported discussion results. Professor Lou Chengwu made a summary comment on this forum.
