To strengthen the connection and cooperation between our School of Public Administration and the customs system, Secretary Qingzhe Jiang and President Jiaqiong Wang headed to the General Administration of Customs to pay a visit to the Director Guangzhou Yu and the Chairman of the National Customs Education and Training Center Dali Liu accompanied by the Dean of School of Public Administration Libo Fan and Secretary Yun Teng.

Secretary Jiang briefly introduced the background and purpose of the visit on behalf of the school. In particular, Secretary Jiang stated that our school and the General Administration of Customs had maintained a long-standing and good cooperative relationship as the business and emotional connections had lasted until now. Therefore, it was a really delightful visit to the General Administration of Customs.

Faced with the opportunity and challenge of Double First-class construction, President Wang noted that our university was committed to serving the country based on our responsibility and mission. The customs management was one of characteristics of University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), we were always considering how to serve the strategic development of China’s customs and how to apply the national development strategy to school-running practice timely and accurately through the tight cooperation and connection of the General Administration of Customs. Therefore, the main purpose of this visit was to express the willingness to fully serve the development of China’s customs.

Director Guangzhou Yu extended a warm welcome to Secretary Jiang and President Wang and highly appreciated the cooperation between the General Administration of Customs and UIBE in the fields of cadre training and academic education. Director Yu pointed out that the cooperation between both sides should keep up with the new situation and task and internationally recognized customs management system; it also should be bold in innovation and constantly highlight features to serve the comprehensively deepening reform of China’s customs.

During this visit, Secretary Jiang, President Wang and Dean Fan held in-depth exchanges and discussions with the main principals including Dali Liu, the Chairman of National Customs Education and Training Center about the cooperation among customs colleges, high-end training, and third-party assessment.

The principals of Party Committee Office and President Office accompanied our secretary and president to the visit.
