Commissioned by the Harbin Customs, UIBE School of Public Administration launched the “Custom Ranks Improvement Training Course for Customs Officer of Harbin Customs” from April 7th to April 12th. Harbin Customs sent 63 customs officer to join this training course program.
Attaching great importance to this training program, Yun Teng, Party Secretary of UIBE School of Public Administration was appointed as the director of the training program. His job is to formulate the plan of this training program, invite professionals in or outside campus for the teaching job and launch the training program. lasted about 6 days, the training course is both rich in content and pertinent in something special. For example, it not only delivers the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and tells the way for emotion or pressure management and the way to avoid traps in authority, but also offers the courses on custom business including trade control and customs supervision, tariff system and its classification, customs enforcement and law-based administration, policy interpretation courses on the customs supervision of mail and luggage. During the training course, customs officers took part in the various teaching program including video teaching, group instruction and practical teaching (patriotism-based military education) on anti-corruption education of customs. Teachers actively communicated with students and combined the management knowledges with their daily work in various ways such as instructions, discussions, video teaching, simulated training and case study. All 63 customs officers passed the exam. Libo Fan, Dean of UIBE School of Public Administration issued the graduate certificate to them at the commencement.
This training course not only expanded our influence on the China Customs system, but also further strengthened our capacity in serving the China Customs system. Harbin Customs and its participants give the positive feedback to our training courses, contents and teachers. Those participants said that with strong pertinent and high quality, the training course broaden their mind and enhanced their work.
