With the purpose of practicing the spirit of strengthening Party discipline and following the instruments of the Party branch at the Ministry of Education, at 13.30 of 24 December 2015, President Shi gave the Party lecture in topic of “Comprehensively Strengthen Party Discipline” to the Party members of School of Public Administration. The lecture was given in Conference Hall 1412 of Chengxin Building, headed by TENG Yun, the head of Party branch at School of Public Administration.




Through citing cases, President Shi emphasized the importance of “a pair of responsibilities” and reiterated the determination of strengthening Party discipline, saying the president of the university must take responsibilities of governing the school affairs and strengthening Party disciplines. Strengthening Party discipline is the root of Party members in this new era, the loose regulation on Party officials must be reversed, the respect for Party regulations must be built and the sense of self discipline must be cultivated by all Party members.

President Shi read out the CPC Criterion of Keeping Integrity and Self-disciplined （《中国共产党廉洁自律准则》) and CPC Ordinances of Punishment for Rules Violation（《中国共产党纪律处分条例》). The two papers gave clear requirements on self-discipline, helping Party members to have a deeper understanding of the spirit of strengthening Party discipline. President Shi reiterated the importance of fortifying the determination of realizing Chinese characteristic socialism and the spirit of serving the people by all Party members, inheriting and developing the great tradition of the Party and the nation, maintaining the advancement and purity of the Party. The Party members must strengthen the spirit of self-discipline, devoting to the career of the Party and serving the people. The Party members must resist corruption and maintain purity, the leaders and officials must take the lead and keep integrity.

President Shi agreed that in order to achieve the goals of the 13th Five-year Plan, the Party members of the School must keep advanced, pure and noble, believing the CPC will lead the people to realize the Chinese Dream. The Party members should believe in the spirit of strengthening Party discipline and its values to the society as well as the Party must keep advancement and purity in order to lead the people to realize the rejuvenation of the nation.

President Shi wishes that through the lecture the Party members of the school will have a deeper understanding of the spirit of strengthening Party discipline and self-discipline. The teachers should be honored of being a member of the Party, and should make greater contributions in education, research and school management to the school, university and nation. After the lecture the teachers unanimously agreed that the Party lecture is inspiriting and important.
