At 18:30 of September 12, 2013, Meet and Greet Event & Supervisors Exchange Meeting for MPA Freshmen Admitted in 2013 organized by MPA Education Center of School of Public Administration was held in Room 431 in Ningyuan Building. Dean Peng Xianggang, Deputy Dean and Acting Secretary Lv Weixia, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of School of Public Administration Lei Liang, Directors of all departments and over 10 supervisors representatives attended the Meeting and all MPA students admitted in 2013 participated in this event. This Meeting was chaired by Wu Chengzhong, Director of MPA Education Center.

Dean Peng Xianggang on behalf of the School extended a warm welcome to all MPA students admitted in 2013 and made a speech. He introduced such basic information as development history, subject construction situation, model and objectives of MPA students training of School of Public Administration, and hoped that all the students can seize this opportunity, truly use theory to solve practical problems and write a qualified master degree paper.

Deputy Dean Lv Weixia specially introduced scientific research situation of School of Public Administration, encouraged MPA students to effectively participate in scientific research project conducted by their supervisors by combining their own work and hoped that they can live their temporary graduate lives to their fullest.




Afterwards, Duan Wentao and Gao Jing made a speech respectively on behalf of all MPA freshmen admitted in 2013. They expressed that they will cherish this hard-won studying opportunity, constantly accumulate professional knowledge in a new stage, develop independent thinking, actively participate in class interaction and improve their own comprehensive qualities.



Directors of all departments respectively introduced such basic information as faculties, scientific research achievements and development plan of every department. Such supervisor representatives as Professor Wang Shuwen and Professor Zhang Xiaofeng made a detailed introduction of their own research fields and project topics and hoped that the students can actively contact with their supervisors, keep close cooperation relationship and truly achieve the effect that to teach is to learn.



At last, the students interacted and communicated with the teachers at present in terms of such aspects as how to participate in scientific research project conducted by their supervisors, complete training program and improve practical application abilities. This event also ended in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. It was believed that the Meet and Greet event would make the freshmen have a clearer understanding of their own research orientation and studying objectives, thus inspiring them to set up new goals.
